Every coding agent, every machine - one dashboard.

An advanced, self-hosted remote control for terminal coding agents. tuimote runs the real Claude Code, Pi, Codex, OpenCode and other TUIs in tmux on your Mac or Linux machines, then serves every session to phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. You keep every command, mode and keybind the harness offers - there is no reduced remote UI and no cloud middleman.

Hosts run macOS on Apple Silicon or Linux on ARM/x86, and need tmux, git and at least one supported coding-agent CLI. Clients need only a modern browser; tuimote works especially well installed as a progressive web app.

Then run tuimote setup. It checks the host, installs the background service and prints the dashboard URL.

⚠ Never expose tuimote to the public internet. Anyone who can use it has shell access to every federated host. Keep it on a trusted LAN or behind a secure tunnel, and use a strong password, two-factor authentication and HTTPS.

The dashboard groups sessions into one card per repo, with activity, token usage and a one-line status for each. Federated repos are marked with their owning host and stay fully interactive.

Open a session and you are in its real terminal, not a reduced remote mode. On a phone, touch scrolling, a terminal key bar and the message composer make the full TUI practical.

The Docs panel renders Markdown, HTML, images, LaTeX, Mermaid, LilyPond and simple CSV tables. Highlight a passage, leave a note and send the annotated document back to its agent.

Federation joins several tuimote servers into one dashboard. Configure trust in both directions; peers you do not visit directly can stop serving their own dashboard while remaining manageable from the CLI.

Features

The whole harness, not a subset. Attach to the actual TUI, with every command, mode and keybind it offers locally.
One dashboard across machines. Federate hosts and work with local and remote sessions in the same fully interactive view.
Inter-session coordination. Agents can message each other, request formal replies and read each other's screens across harness and device boundaries.
Session conversion and transfer. Continue work in another harness, repo or federated machine. Conversion between Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Pi is maintained, but can be lossy when harness features differ.
Panels and artifacts. The built-in Issues, Docs, Code and Git panels add GUI affordances beside the terminal; custom JavaScript panels can wrap any useful CLI.
Prompts that travel. Drafts, history and //double-slash templates can inject command output into reusable prompts.
Harness-neutral project tools. Event-driven tasks, issue and commit attribution, shared repo memory and compatible skills follow work between supported agents.

Supported harnesses

Claude Code and Pi are well tested and wired to the full tuimote feature set. Codex, OpenCode, oh-my-pi, Hermes and Reasonix are also available, but may lack a feature or two. Run several at once, or switch when an API is down, credits run short, or a different model is a better fit.

Who it's for

You run coding agents in the terminal - several at once, in several repos.
They live on one or more Mac or Linux hosts that are usually on.
You want the same full terminal from a desktop, phone or tablet on your trusted network or VPN.
You prefer one harness-neutral workflow over depending on a vendor's reduced remote-control app.

Not for you if you want a cloud service or a web IDE. tuimote is a LAN tool for one developer, and every signed-in user effectively has shell access to its hosts.
